Advent Children’s Projects: Telling the Nativity Story and an Advent Calendar to Use at Home
On Sundays, December 1, 8, and 15, young people are invited to join in making masks of the characters in the Nativity story. We’ll gather in the Rectory at 10 a.m. to color and create masks of Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, Magi, animals, and others. On January 5th during the 10 a.m. worship, the young people will use the masks they’ve created to tell the story of Jesus’ birth. Join us – all are invited!
Marking the days of Advent is a great way to deepen a child’s awareness of the meaning of this special season. One way to do this is with an Advent calendar like the one created every year by Thomas Mousin and Merry Waters.
